Ahmet Uludag
Where do you work?
Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University
What is your main task?
Professor in Weed Science
What is your main intererst in weed research?
I have dealt with many different crops and cropping systems. I worked on parasitic plants as well. Herbicide resistance and allelopathy are issues I have focused. Recently I have involved in invasive alien plants (IAP) in broad invasive alien species (IAS). It gives me opportunities to be able to use my former background. In my view, there is no a solid line between weeds and IAP, so we can work on both of them when we focused on the other. Furthermore, policy issues and citizen sciences in the context of IAS and weeds are points I have tried to be involved.
Which activities do you plan to promote to reach the objectives of the Working Group?
Organizing scientific meetings, educational activities, helping neighbouring countries.
