Open position: assistant professor in weed management
The Department of Horticulture at the Institut Agro Rennes-Angers (IARA), France, invites applications for a position as assistant professor in management of weeds in changing agroecosystems. The professorship is a full-time position starting on September 1, 2026 or as soon as possible.
You will be part of a teaching and research environment focusing on weed and disease management in horticultural crops, seed production and technology, and pesticide fate in the environment. You will also be contributing to the training of students in the area of management of weeds in urban ecosystems.
You are also expected to contribute to the research environment of the Research Institute in Horticulture and Seeds (IRHS) and to address questions on seed bank dynamics, seed dormancy, and crops/weeds interactions as adaptations to changing environments.
